One of the most, reliable, modular, countertop P.O.S. terminals on the market today. PlayLine’s Beetle is the retail point-of-sale terminal which performs customer/player transactions. Powered by Wincor Nixdorf, the Beetle is a high quality, cost effective, flexible countertop P.O.S. terminal.

Modular in design, the Beetle is comprised of plug-and-play, field replaceable parts – ensuring efficiency in operability. There is never any need for downtime.

Beetle Components
The Beetle is comprised of 6 main parts:

Beetle M-II: This is the main engine and operating system of the terminal. Sentinel communicates with this PC component via network connection. The operating system is Linux Fedora.

Printer (Xiprint): Prints all customer tickets. Thermal Printer requires standard thermal paper stock. The printer is self-cutting and self-feeding. Insert roll, close the lid and the printer takes care of the rest.

Scanner (Xiscan): Reads Bet Slips and all customer tickets via bar code. Has an integrated branding module for marking canceled or paid out tickets. Easy access for cleaning & / or removing paper jam.

Bar Code Reader: Integrated into the Scanner & provides another option to read all customer tickets. This enables the user to run the barcode through the scanner, or to place the barcode underneath the scanner tray.

Smart Card Reader: Reads player loyalty cards. Enables tracking of all player data, including free promotional plays.

Display (Ba72A-2): 12" Flat panel display monitor TFT with color interface.

Other Retail Terminal Options
In addition to the standardized Wincor Nixdorf terminal, PlayLine can support other vendor hardware. This includes retail or self-service terminals and wireless handheld systems to sell tickets, generate draws, validate winning tickets and generate reports.
